Northbrook hosts Upstate Evangelism Conference

The president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention are among the program personalities slated for the annual Upstate Evangelism Conference at Northbrook Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, Aug. 2-5.

Former SBC president Bobby Welch will kick off the event by preaching during both morning and evening services on Sunday. SCBC president Rudy Gray, pastor of Utica Baptist Church, Seneca, will preach on Tuesday evening.

Steve Hogg, pastor of First Baptist Church, Rock Hill, and Herb Revis, pastor of North Jacksonville Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., will speak on Monday evening. Joining Gray on the platform Tuesday evening will be Robert Smith, professor at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University.

On Wednesday evening, Hank Williams, pastor of First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, and David Gallamore, pastor of Rock Springs Baptist Church, Easley, will speak.

Music will be led by Greg Day and Joe Hopkins. Area community choirs will sing. All evening services begin at 6:30.
