Coastal Evangelism Conference set for Aug. 5-7 in Conway

The Coastal Evangelism Conference, hosted by Langston Baptist Church, Conway, and sponsored by area churches, will take place Aug. 5-7.

Don Purvis, transitional pastor at Langston, will welcome a lineup of pastors, evangelists and musicians.

Guest speakers include: Johnny Hunt, Southern Baptist Convention president and pastor of First Baptist Church, Woodstock, Ga.; Donald Wilton, pastor, First Baptist Church, Spartanburg; James Austin, executive director-treasurer, South Carolina Baptist Convention; Braxton Hunter, evangelist and apologist, Trinity Crusades for Christ, Jacksonville, Fla.; Junior Hill, evangelist, Hartselle, Ala.; Daniel Lovett, president, Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Phil Hoskins, pastor, Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport, Tenn.; Harold Hunter, president, Trinity College of the Bible, Newburgh, Ind.; Sam Cathey, evangelist, Morningside Ministries, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Ron Barker, evangelism and prayer strategist, South Carolina Baptist Convention.

Special music will be provided by Cross 4 Crowns and a mass choir from area churches, led by Sonny Clardy, music minister for Socastee Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach.

There is no cost to attend. Childcare will be provided for the evening services, and meals will be available for purchase for lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday.
