Maybe I missed a letter or two in the Courier, but I thought surely someone besides myself was disappointed in an article written in a recent issue of Furman magazine.
I know that Furman University is no longer a Baptist institution, but I was very upset to read the article in the last issue on Buddhism. Was the Christian emphasis at Furman so lacking for that student that he felt the need to turn to Pragmatic Buddhism. I was also disappointed to think that the Furman magazine devoted four pages to this practicing religion. How long has it been since that much news has been written about a devoted Christian minister, a graduate from Furman, who is preaching the gospel from the Holy Bible?
