When did we decide to serve man and not God? I wonder what would happen if you hired a non-Southern Baptist, witnessed to them, shared the Good News and lived as an example. We are accused of being the country club, where you must dress a certain way to join – or act or live a certain way. If I want to join a private country club, I will. If I want to belong to a family of believers who heed God’s word that we love others as we love ourselves and tell others, then we should be following Christ. People who may never have known the love of a neighbor will not know the love of Christ unless we live it, show it and tell it.
Isn’t a Christian a believer, regardless of membership in the Southern Baptist Convention? This concerns me greatly, and with this policy I see more and more how we have become the “religion” no one wants to become. We are the ones who?should be loving and forgiving, regardless of where the club is located.
