Mike Parker

MIKE PARKER was recently honored for 30 years of service as director of family activities and information technologies at Berea First Baptist Church, Greenville. He received a gift from the congregation, as well as a sabbatical leave for professional and personal renewal. Parker and his wife Jackie have two daughters and three grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BRETT CHAMPION was called as senior pastor of Cherrydale Church, Greenville, on Oct. 4. A native of Alabama, he earned a master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Ky., and is currently pursuing a Pd.D. in applied theology with an emphasis in Christian leadership at Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Wake Forest. Champion previously served churches in Kentucky and Idaho, and spent two years as a missionary in Equatorial Brazil. He and his wife Justyna have two daughters, Chloe and Phoebe.

 

 

Lindi Jenkins

LINDI JENKINS has been called as music, youth and children’s director by Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cordova. A native of Rileyville, Va., and graduate of George Mason University in Virginia, she previously served as part-time music director at Crescent Hill Baptist Church and worked at Hopkins Elementary School, both in Columbia. Her husband Chris is currently a graduate student at USC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Pierce III

ROBERT PIERCE III has accepted a call as pastor of Latta Baptist Church, Pee Dee Baptist Association. He previously was pastor of Summerton Baptist Church for more than eight years. Pierce is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary and Rockbridge Seminary. He previously was involved in part-time ministry at Ocean View Baptist Church and other churches.
