WolfeThe South Carolina Baptist Pastor’s Conference is set for Nov. 9 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, Irmo.
Traditionally held the day before the start of the annual meeting of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, the Pastor’s Conference features speakers that include noted pastors and evangelists.
The conference begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues throughout the day with lunch and dinner breaks.
“Our theme is ‘To Know Christ and To Make Him Known,’?” said Ron Lynch, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, Easley, and president of the Pastor’s Conference. “My desire is that this conference might focus all of us upon Christ, who is our life and Lord.
“As Southern Baptists, it is time for us to reevaluate our priorities and allow Jesus to have the preeminence.”
The 2009 lineup of speakers includes:
Danny Akin, president of Southeastern Baptist Seminary; Jeff LaBorg, pastor, Second Baptist Church, Warner Robbins, Ga.; Bob Pitman, evangelist; Bailey Smith, evangelist; Bill Stafford, evangelist; Mack Tester, pastor, Pope Drive Baptist Church, Anderson; Mike Whitson, pastor, First Baptist Church, Indian Trail, N.C.; and Fred Wolfe, pastor, Luke 4:18 Fellowship, Mobile, Ala.

SpeerGuest musicians will be Allison Speer, music evangelist, and Sammy Thomas, executive administrator at First Baptist Church, Indian Trail, N.C.
Pastor’s Conference officers for 2009 include Lynch; Bryant Sims, vice president; Brad Whitt, vice president; and Mack Tester, secretary-treasurer.
Conference supporters include the South Carolina Baptist Convention, the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina, The Baptist Courier, Anderson University, Charleston Southern University and North Greenville University.
Riverland Hills Baptist Church is located in Irmo on Lake Murray Boulevard off Interstate 26, exit 102.
