T.J. Horton (“Church is healthcare answer,” Oct. 1) stole my letter! However, I wish to add something. We, the church, are indeed called to be our brothers’ keepers. So why aren’t we? I have a suggestion. Let’s start a program that does what some are wanting the government to do. This program will negotiate with insurance companies for reduced rates, and those meeting requirements will be eligible to receive these benefits at little or no cost. The program should be supported solely by donations.
