The goal of Parson’s Pantry this year is to extend the ministry to $200,010, according to Ron Jackson, who retired after 40 years as a pastor to establish the ministry, of which he is board chairman. His wife, Karen, is administrative director of Parson’s Pantry.

“The Lord has already blessed Parson’s Pantry with the resources to assist more than 200 needy pastors, retired pastors, widows of pastors and married ministerial students with more than $140,000,” said Jackson.

The board chairman expressed his belief that “the Lord will provide more than $60,000 this year to reach the goal of $200,010 in 2010.”

Wilton is president of The Encouraging Word broadcast ministry that reaches across the nation. The author of five books, he is a frequent speaker for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at The Cove in Asheville.

Parson’s Pantry is a tax-exempt organization with a 16-member board of directors made up of laity and clergy.
