Baggs named VP for advancement at Charleston Southern University

David Baggs

David Baggs has been named Charleston Southern University’s vice president for advancement. He previously served as assistant vice president for advancement at Cleveland State University in Ohio.

“David has a wealth of development experience in both private and public higher education,” said Charleston Southern president Jairy Hunter. “His commitment to Christian higher education will be invaluable to the university’s growth and vision of integrating faith in learning, leading and serving.”

“I look forward to joining the Charleston Southern University community and helping to strengthen the connections between the university and its alumni, friends and the greater Charleston region,” said Baggs. In 1990, Baggs graduated with a bachelor of science degree in education from Asbury College. He later earned a master’s degree in higher education administration at the University of Arkansas. He and his wife Kim have two children, Aubrey and Camden.
