Twin Cities Baptist Church, Hemingway, held services May 23 to dedicate a new worship facility. Pastor Robert Jones reported “a wonderful and blessed experience.”

A total of 131 were in attendance. Four converts were baptized, and three others transferred their membership to the church. A baby dedication service was also held.
Gary Anderson, director of the Cooperative Program and Stewardship office of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, opened the service with greetings and the invocation. Pastor Jones delivered the morning message, “Open Doors of Opportunity.”
After a church-wide meal, a formal dedication ceremony was held at 2 p.m. Building contractors and architect Richard Lesley, along with volunteer laborers, were presented certificates of appreciation. Also recognized were Hemingway mayor Grady Richardson and Phillip Latta, pastor of Hemingway First Baptist Church, which was Twin Cities’ sponsoring church.
Vows of consecration and dedication were confessed by the entire congregation. The dedicatory sermon was delivered by evangelist Randall Jones of Conway. Jones applauded the church and encouraged members to spread the gospel in fulfilling the Great Commission. In his sermon, “I Give You Jesus,” Jones reminded the church that Jesus is the answer for every need, in every life, and in every generation. He also said it is through Christian education that Christians mature in their faith and make an impact on the world.
Twin Cities observed its fourth anniversary on June 6.
