A revival meeting originally scheduled for five days at Central Baptist Church, York, grew to nine days as people continued to respond to the call to be saved.
Pastor Carey Caldwell said that “God showed up and truly displayed his power.”
The revival services started April 24 with a youth rally, where several students surrendered their lives to Christ, Caldwell said. The services were scheduled to conclude the following Thursday. However, “as God continued to move,” the services were extended through the weekend – for 11 consecutive services.
Caldwell said 31 people were saved. On May 23, 10 were baptized. More will be baptized later, Caldwell said.
The services were led by Dean, Gayna and Geoffrey Forrest of Alabama. Dean Forrest is the founder of the Big God Conference at Myrtle Beach (BigGodConference.com).
