Letter: Follow God’s timing

The Baptist Courier

I was pleasantly surprised to find one church in the state has reaped the harvest in revival by praying and planning in God’s timing (June 10, “Response extends revival at York church”)

I have always believed the Holy Spirit is deleted from three-day revivals. I attend these services, and just when hearts are stirred and the Holy Spirit is about to do his work, the meeting days are over. The Holy Spirit is smothered. The tragedy is that these hearts may never again be convicted, and they will continue on their way to a devil’s hell.

The early churches are the pattern for revival and renewal. Central Baptist Church followed this pattern and reaped the harvest.

My prayerful concern is that all churches will follow God’s planning and timing and allow the Holy Spirit to be released to enable the hearts of men and women, boys and girls, to be rescued before it is too late.
