I would like to talk to you about Camp McCall. Out of all the experiences I have had there, the one that really stands out is the lake.
The lake has a dock near the front. Many kids have fun with a zip-line, rope swing, a small water slide known as the “spikit,” a basketball goal, a diving area, and a kayak/canoe station. Toward the back of the lake there is a big water slide called the drainpipe. The counselors say that they timed someone in the drainpipe one time and they were going about 50 mph! At the side of the lake, there is the swingshot. The swingshot pulls you up 80 feet and lets you go, and you go swinging over the lake. It was very scary!
As I conclude this letter, I would love to leave you with one thought: Porter Dowdy thinks Camp McCall’s lake is one of the best places on earth.
