“A Day of Prayer for South Carolina Baptists” is the focus of a Prayer Summit to be held Oct. 28 at White Oak Conference Center near Winnsboro.

DraperThe gathering, coordinated by the evangelization and missions team of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, begins at 9 a.m. with registration and fellowship, and will conclude at 4 p.m.
Featured speakers will be Jimmy Draper, retired president of LifeWay Christian Resources, and Jim Henry, retired pastor of First Baptist Church, Orlando, Fla.

A flyer for the event invites South Carolina Baptists to consider Isaiah 66:2: “But on this one will I look. On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.”
“If we respond to God this way,” the invitation continues, “he will find favor with us. Join South Carolina Baptists as we come together and seek the Lord.”
