Ricky Eason (left), the first non-Anglo to be elected moderator of Spartanburg County Baptist Network, presents its Lifetime Achievement Award to Jerry Meeks. Meeks retired in July after 15 years with the International Mission Board and eight years as the network’s missionary with Hispanics. Meeks continues as pastor of Iglesia Bautista El Buen. Spartanburg Network’s annual meeting was Oct. 26 at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Hank Williams, pastor of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, brought the sermon.
