“I am excited about this opportunity for them,” said Laurie Register, South Carolina WMU executive director-treasurer, “but when I think about the commitment, dedication, and experience we are losing, I am grieved.”
Brenda Brown has served for 38 years. Her favorite responsibility has been keeping in touch with South Carolina missionaries, Register said.
Tommy Brown and Carruth have both served for 20 years. Brown was described as “dependable, easy-going, and consistent in his responsibilities at camp.” Carruth was “diligent in keeping up with camp registrations and store inventories.”
Wiggins has served 18 years in both field service and office staff. “Her love for helping others has been invaluable,” Register said.
“God has gifted each of these retirees uniquely,” Register added. “I look forward to how he will guide them in the days ahead. Our prayers go with them.”
