WMU announces nominees for executive board and nominating committee

Editor’s note: This story reflects a correction to our Feb. 17 printed edition concerning the location of the WMU annual meeting on March 11. The meeting will be held at Monaghan Baptist Church, Greenville.

Woman’s Missionary Union, auxiliary to the South Carolina Baptist Convention, has announced the 2011-2012 nominees for executive board positions and the 2012 nominees for nominating committee positions.

The South Carolina WMU executive board manages the business of the organization during the year. Election of board members will take place March 11 during the WMU annual meeting at Monaghan Baptist Church, Greenville.

Nominations for the executive board are made by the nominating committee, also elected at the WMU annual meeting. The committee considers involvement in WMU on the state, associational and local level when making selections.
