Joe Mack has joined North Greenville University’s Christian Worldview Center as director of public policy, effective Feb. 1.
Mack held a similar position with the South Carolina Baptist Convention from 1999 until his retirement in December 2010.
Joe MackHe has 30 years of experience in South Carolina government, first as deputy director of human resources for the Budget and Control Board, and later as deputy director of the Budget and Control Board. He also served as deputy director of the South Carolina Retirement System.
In his new role with North Greenville, Mack will be communicating with South Carolina legislators to encourage the passage of laws that reflect biblical values. He will likewise communicate with members of South Carolina’s congressional delegation in Washington, D.C.
“We are excited to have Joe join the Christian Worldview Center team,” said Tony Beam, vice president for student services. “His service in Columbia and with the South Carolina congressional delegation in Washington will continue as he expresses the values and concerns of the Christian Worldview Center in the area of public policy.”
Mack and his wife Beverly live in Columbia, where they are members of Shandon Baptist Church. They have a daughter and two granddaughters.
