The fifth annual Christian Worldview Conference at North Greenville University, held March 21-23 and sponsored by the school’s Christian Worldview Center, featured speakers, breakout sessions and music.
MittelburgWhen speaker Mark Mittelburg opened the floor for questions on Tuesday evening, several students went to the microphone to ask questions about defending their faith.
After the service, students crowded around Mittelburg in the lobby to ask even more questions.
Speaker Alex McFarland, a Christian apologist, served as the third president of the Southern Evangelical Seminary and the Veritas graduate school. He also was director of teen apologetics for Focus on the Family.
Mittelberg, an author and evangelist from Denver, Colo., has written several best-selling books, including “Choosing Your Faith,” “The Unexpected Adventure,” and “Becoming a Contagious Christian.”
Breakout sessions were led by NGU faculty and staffers and included such topics as “American History: The Politically Incorrect Version,” “Creation and Worldview,” and “The Archaeological Evidence of Noah’s Flood.”
During the week, the Christian band 3Nailz, based in Easley, led in worship. Three Strand Chord, a female trio with a folk and acoustic sound, also provided music.
Chrysta Johnson, a spokesperson for the Christian Worldview Center, said, “We would definitely like to see a worldview conference on our campus that draws hundreds, if not thousands, of people from the community and region.” – NGU
