Wilson NelsonWILSON NELSON, a Baptist minister who previously served in two advancement positions at North Greenville University and most recently was a pastor in Canada, has returned to the university as director of major gifts for athletics. He will focus on obtaining financial assistance for athletic priorities within the school’s $25 million Gift God Campaign. Nelson spent the last two and a half years as the transitional pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Prior to that, he was NGU’s director of advancement and the executive director of the Crusader Club. He served as pastor of First Church, Greer, prior to joining NGU. Nelson is married to Mary Winn Nelson, and they have two grown children and five grandchildren.
SAM O’SHIELDS began duties as pastor of Horeb Church, Bradley, on May 15. A recent graduate of Fruitland Bible Institute, O’Shields and his wife Paulette have four children and eight grandchildren.
Michael BraggMICHAEL BRAGG is serving as pastor of First Church, Campobello. A graduate of Wofford College and New Orleans Seminary, he previously served as associate pastor at Bethel Church, Westminster. Bragg and his wife Amiee have three children: Logan, 14; Connor, 12; and Addie, 8.
