SCBC presidential nominees reflect on issues facing state Baptists

Next week, South Carolina Baptists will elect a new state convention president. As the Courier went to press, we knew of three Upstate ministers who have agreed to have their names placed into nomination: Brad Atkins, pastor of Powdersville First Baptist Church near Easley; Bennie Durham, pastor of Marietta First Baptist Church; and David Little, associational missionary (director of missions) for Lakelands Association in Abbeville.

In order for messengers who attend the Nov. 15-16 annual meeting to make a more informed choice, we asked the nominees to respond to questions about their vision for the SCBC and their thoughts regarding the report of Great Commission Resurgence Task Force. We also asked them to share their faith experience and to provide a glimpse into their personal lives. Here are links to their responses:
