Joe Mack, the South Carolina Baptist Convention’s former director of the office of public policy, was awarded the annual E.A. McDowell Award for individual public service. Mack and his wife, Beverly, are members of Shandon Baptist Church, Columbia. The award was presented at the SCBC annual meeting by the convention’s Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee. Northwood Baptist Church, Greer, was presented the annual Impact Your World Award for community service by the convention’s Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee during the SCBC annual meeting.
