Keith Brownfield, a lay member of Spring Valley Baptist Church, Columbia, has published a new book, “Finding Passion and Purpose for Serving a Loving God.”

The book is intended as an encouragement for laity to restore the passion they once had for Christ and to channel it for the specific purpose that God gives to each believer. It challenges lay people to get out of the pews and find a cause for service that will facilitate kingdom growth in their church.
The book diagrams a four-stage spiritual journey process, beginning with salvation and culminating with a lifestyle of ministry and evangelism.
Brownfield is a member of the North American Mission Board’s Missionary Service Corps and is NAMB’s past state coordinator for lay renewal ministry.
He is offering the book at cost to Baptist churches in South Carolina that would like to make it available to their membership, with all proceeds retained by the church for missions or other worthy causes. The book is available through the author and will not be available in bookstores until April 2012.
