Jule YoungJULE YOUNG retired from Bethel Baptist Church, Fairfax, on Sept. 1. His previous pastorates included Hopewell, Hampton; Spring Branch, Bamberg; and Sand Hill, Kershaw. Young is a trustee for South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging and previously served on the Baptist Hospitals’ board of trustees and Charleston Southern University’s advisory council. He also served two terms on the South Carolina Baptist Convention’s Nominations Committee and in various associational positions. He is available for supply and interim work.
JIM WARREN began duties as pastor of Fork Baptist Church, Pee Dee Association, on Aug. 1. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian studies from North Greenville University and a master’s degree in theology and biblical counseling from Southeastern Seminary. Warren has previously served as pastor of several upstate South Carolina churches and is currently the biblical counselor for Pee Dee Association. He and his wife Gail have two children and three grandchildren.
KEN JERNIGAN was called as pastor of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church, Colleton Association, on Oct. 2. A native of South Carolina, he previously served pastorates in several Georgia Baptist churches. He attended Armstrong State College, Beaufort Technical College, Billy Graham School of Evangelism and Georgia Baptist Bible Institute. Jernigan and his wife have two adult children and four grandchildren.
