The one-day event will be held March 10 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Irmo.

The festival is open to youth singers, choirs, praise teams and ensembles, “or maybe even a brand new group starting now just for this event,” said Mark Powers, director of the SCBC worship and music office.

There will be two tracks from which to choose: Composer Dennis Allen, guest clinician, will direct songs from the “SonPower Collection.” Stuart Condra, host director, will lead youth choir anthems with piano and small-orchestral accompaniment.

The Youth Choir Festival begins with rehearsals at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude with a concert at 3:30 p.m.

The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for students and adults. For registration received after March 1, the cost will be $25.
