Pastors of leading Southern Baptist churches will fill key speaking roles at the 21st annual National Conference on Preaching, May 14-16 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga. The conference is sponsored by Preaching magazine and Anderson University’s College of Christian Studies. The conference theme is “Preaching on Mission.”

“We are so excited to have Southern Baptist leaders share their gifts at this year’s National Conference on Preaching,” said Michael Duduit, dean of the College of Christian Studies and founder and executive editor of Preaching magazine. “This is the first time the National Conference on Preaching has been held in Atlanta in more than a decade, and we look forward to this year’s emphasis on how preaching can help a church mobilize to carry out its kingdom mission.”

Among the speakers at NCP 2012 will be Bryant Wright, pastor of the host church and president of the Southern Baptist Convention; James Merritt, Cross Pointe Church in Duluth and former SBC president; Ed Stetzer, vice president of research and development of LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, Tenn.; Ralph Douglas West, The Church Without Walls in Houston, Texas; and Mike Glenn, Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tenn.
