4 from S.C. to speak at DOM conference

Four South Carolinians will be part an expansive slate of speakers at the 2012 Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Directors of Missions.

In addition, Johnny Rumbough, director of missions for Lexington Association, is serving as president of the organization.

The conference will be held at New Orleans Seminary June 17-18 prior to the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Speakers from the Palmetto State include:

? Jim Goodroe, director of missions for the Spartanburg County Network. His association will host an Ethnic America Network summit on April 19-21.

? David Lee (Man-Wai), director of lay mobilization for Lexington Association, who has experience planting ethnic churches.

? Charles Westbrook, senior pastor of Saluda River Baptist Church in Lexington. Westbrook has served as a missionary with the International Mission Board.

? Valerie Rumbough, CPA, CFP, currently serving as chief operations officer with the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina. She writes extensively on financial matters and is a regular columnist for The Baptist Courier.

Other speakers will include Fred Luter, Richard Blackaby, Tom Elliff, Kevin Ezell and Terry Sharp.
