Approximately 100 volunteers were on hand recently for a recognition dinner at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. Volunteers provided 11,098 hours of service during the past year at the Greenwood campus.

Ricky Taylor of Gilbert was named Volunteer of the Year for the second consecutive year. He spent more than 300 hours working with students in missions opportunities and helping with other projects.
The Lander Baptist Collegiate Ministry “Lamplighters” group was also recognized. Under the direction of BCM leader Scott Smith, the students gave more than 600 hours of service by teaching Sunday school and conducting ministry programs for the children at Connie Maxwell Baptist Church and assisting during Christmas and at other times throughout the year.
The church award went to Saluda Baptist Church, whose members, under the direction of Jennifer and Matt Gentry, worked to host the children for special events at their church while also offering assistance at the Greenwood campus.
