CHARLESTON—Charleston Southern picked up its first win of the season in a 26-20 double-overtime bout on Saturday night at Johnson Hagood Stadium. Lek Powell hit K.D. Dorsey for a 17-yard pass for the game-winner in overtime. Kicker Matt Rolader tied the game with a 52-yard field goal with 6:14 remaining in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
Powell completed 8 of 16 passes for 84 yards and was sacked six times. Hakeem Watters rushed for 56 yards on 11 attempts and a touchdown. The Bucs scored three rushing touchdowns. Junior safety Kason Hooks recorded two tackles for loss and an interception.
Charleston Southern (1-2, 0-1) will host Point University on Saturday. The Bucs defeated the Sky Hawks 66-0 in their lone matchup in 2017.

TIGERVILLE—The Trailblazers 21-point fourth quarter powered them past the Golden Eagles on Friday night at Younts Stadium. Kam Montgomery completed just 13 of 25 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown. He’s thrown for 450 yards without an interception through his first two collegiate games.
Montgomery also rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and holds the team lead in rushing yards. Mikhai Isaac caught four passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
North Greenville (2-0, 0-0) will continue non-conference play at West Alabama on Saturday.

Anderson 39, UVA Wise 21
WISE—Anderson scored 26 second-half points in the decisive victory over UVA Wise on Saturday afternoon at Carl Smith Stadium. Wilson Edwards completed 24 of his 37 passes for 308 yards and four touchdowns, the most productive game of his career.
Edwards also led the team with 49 rushing yards. Linebacker Cade Eavenson recorded a strip-sack that he returned for a touchdown.
Anderson (2-1, 1-0) will play at Tusculum on Saturday.
