LIVINGSTON—North Greenville upset 18th-ranked West Alabama behind quarterback Kam Montgomery’s fantastic performance on Saturday at Tiger Stadium to remain unbeaten early in the season.
Montgomery completed 13 of 20 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown. The Eastern Kentucky transfer has thrown three touchdowns and zero interceptions through his first three collegiate games. He also rushed for 47 yards.
Deshawn Tompkins recorded 83 rushing yards on 12 carries while Sam Washam’s 74 receiving yards led the team.
North Greenville (3-0) will begin conference play against Ferrum College on Saturday.

Charleston Southern 65, Point 0
CHARLESTON—Charleston Southern decisively dismantled the Skyhawks in their home opener on Saturday night at Buccaneer Field. The Bucs ran for 348 yards and six touchdowns, led by Hakeem Watters with seven rushes for 123 yards and three touchdowns.
Quay Kindell caught three passes for 64 yards, including a 40-yard shot from Lek Powell. Powell led the quarterbacks with seven completions on eight attempts for a touchdown.
Charleston Southern (2-2, 0-1) will continue OVC play against Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

Anderson 14, Tusculum 7
GREENEVILLE, Tenn.—The Trojans won their third straight game with a defensive showdown on Saturday night at Pioneer Field. Anderson scored 14 points in the second quarter and never relinquished the lead. Wilson Edwards completed 19 of 26 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns and was sacked just once.
Darren Lloyd rushed for 65 yards while Kenneth Brown led the receivers with seven receptions for 66 yards.
Anderson (3-1, 2-0) will host Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.
