The event, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., is for pastors, church staff members, prayer leaders and “anyone interested in prayer,” according to information at the SCBC’s website.

Registration is $5. Lunch and resource materials are included in the registration fee.

After serving as a missionary for 23 years, Rankin was named IMB president in 1993 and served for 17 years.

In May 2011, Columbia International University announced that Rankin would join the staff of their Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies. The Zwemer Center exists primarily to equip the church to reach Muslims. Rankin serves as director while continuing to live at his home in Mississippi.
