When I received my July 5 Baptist Courier, I was pleased to see that the convention had elected pastor Fred Luter as president. I hope that we all realize that any kind of prejudice is sin, and the only way it can be defeated is by submitting to the Holy Spirit.
The Great Commission is given to us to win the lost, baptize them, and to teach them to observe all the things that Jesus had taught his own disciples.
My prayer is that all the pastors who elected pastor Luter will boldly preach and teach their members to go out and win the lost and bring them in to be set apart for God’s service. We have the power to overcome the world. May God bless us all and keep us in his will.
