Sidney Hubert Maxwell, 85, of Inman, a retired pastor, died Sept. 27, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
MaxwellA native of Horse Shoe, N.C., he served pastorates in South Carolina, Alabama, Florida and Texas. He retired from Warrior Creek Baptist Church in Gray Court after 10 years of service.
He served three years with the former Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and held several interim pastorates. He also served as minister to the homebound at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Inman.
He was the husband of Dorothy Dickson Maxwell. He was first married to the late Dorothy Nodine Maxwell. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter.
