South Carolinians receive degrees

South Carolinians were among the graduates of Southern and Southeastern seminaries during December commencement ceremonies in Louisville and Wake Forest, respectively.

Six students from the state were awarded degrees Dec. 9 at Southern Seminary:

Master of Divinity: Daniel Koon, Heath Springs, Limestone Baptist Church, Dorchester; and John Flanagan, Piedmont, Reedy Fork Baptist Church, Piedmont.

Advanced Master of Divinity: Richard Sullens, Campobello, Motlow Creek Baptist Church, Campobello.

Master of Church Music: Katherine Granillo, Aiken, Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken.

Master of Arts in Christian Counseling: Kayte Michelle Burgess, Simpsonville, First Baptist Church, Simpsonville.

Master of Divinity in Christian Education: Rebecca Woodruff, Greenville, Buncombe Road Baptist Church, Greenville.

Receiving degrees Dec. 16 at Southeastern Seminary:

Master of Arts: Matthew Wilson Martin, Travelers Rest; Charles David Sibley, Chapin; Kelly Olney, Rock Hill; Eugene Davis, Simpsonville; and Scott Wayne Griffin, Fort Mill.

Master of Divinity: William Ehrlich Hardwick, Nichols; Jerald Glenard Thompson, North Augusta; Thomas Michael Caverly, North Augusta; Michael Eugene Cook, Columbia; Michael Brian Winburn, Hartsville; and Matthew Wilson Martin, Travelers Rest.

Doctor of Ministry: Bradley Cameron Ferguson, Greenville; and Brian Gene Saxon, Belton.
