Members of Union Baptist Church, York, recently prepared 283 shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse. Pastor Ray Long is scheduled to travel this month with a group from Samaritan’s Purse to Trinidad and Tobago to distribute shoeboxes. In addition, the congregation of Union Baptist exceeded its $10,000 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal, contributing a total of $11,830.
The WMU of Columbia Baptist Church, Honea Path, recently completed their latest project: mats for the homeless in their community. The ladies enjoyed the fun and fellowship of meeting together to crochet the mats from used plastic grocery bags. Scotty Hendricks is pastor at Columbia Baptist.
