Leadership focus of book by Page

“The Nehemiah Factor,” an examination of 16 characteristics of a missional leader, is the latest offering from author Frank Page, pastor of First Baptist Church in Taylors and president of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship, noted that the “Nehemiah Factor” is “filled with fascinating anecdotes and thought-provoking commentary on scripture,” and adding that it “contains the formula needed to raise up the godly leaders the church desperately needs today.”

Kaye Miller, president of Woman’s Missionary Union, SBC, said that Page’s book “calls God’s people to account for the passiveness that has plagued the church over the past few decades.”

Referring to the book as a “call to action in our daily lives,” the WMU leader said the book will “change your mindset, motives and methods as you live your life so that no part of your being will bring reproach on the cause of Christ.”

New Hope Publishers in Birmingham released the 221-page book, which also drew praise from Union University president David Dockery, who said it “brings wisdom and Spirit-directed insight” to church leaders, and from Southeastern Seminary president David Akin, who called it a “call to wise, godly leadership firmly rooted in biblical truth.”
