The S.E.R.V.E. team from Hopewell Baptist Church in Anderson, led by Daniel and Autumn Cathey, packed 32 Valentine gift bags for the special education class at Whitehall Elementary. Members of this group range in age from 3 to the mid-60s as part of an outreach-oriented small group ministry.

Mike Catoe, retired pastor of Mount Arnon Baptist Church in Allendale, has been named pastor emeritus of the church. He served as pastor for more than 31 years. Wade Ferguson, chairman of deacons, made the announcement and presented Catoe with a plaque to commemorate the occasion. Catoe and his wife, Sarah, reside in Graniteville.
